About Divi Welfare Society
Founded with the belief that “real change begins with responsibility,” Divi Welfare Society is a non-profit organization committed to uplifting underprivileged children and empowering marginalized communities across India. Driven by a deep sense of social justice and inclusive development, Divi works at the grassroots level to address the fundamental needs of children, women, and underserved populations.
Established in 2018 by Beera Bhadra Singh and a group of passionate friends, Divi began its journey with a single, free coaching center. From this modest beginning, the organization has evolved into a vibrant force for change, positively impacting hundreds of lives across Varanasi and nearby districts. Today, Divi collaborates with local NGOs, educators, community leaders, and policymakers to extend its reach and deepen its impact.
The Society currently supports the education and holistic development of children and women through a network of community learning centers and shelters. It works extensively in slum and rural areas, focusing on bridging the urban-rural divide in access to quality education and empowerment opportunities.
At the heart of Divi's mission is the power of volunteerism—where committed individuals contribute 2 to 10 hours per week over the course of a year to teach, mentor, and uplift children. This hands-on approach ensures their growth, well-being, and self-confidence.
Divi also actively organizes social awareness campaigns on issues such as health, hygiene, gender equality, and education, ensuring community involvement and transformation from within. The organization further engages in national and international conferences that bring together experts, policymakers, and youth to explore solutions to pressing social issues and promote innovative ideas for sustainable development.
Working across both urban and rural areas, Divi Welfare Society bridges social, educational, and economic divides — reaching out to where the need is greatest. Our belief is simple but powerful: transforming lives, one child, one village, and one opportunity at a time..
